Often when I speak to clients to get to the bottom of what's keeping them stuck, they would say, " I had a really good childhood" or "My childhood wasn't that bad, so I'm not sure where it's coming from”.
I get it, some people had really good experiences growing up and often when we think of our childhood we think of the home life with mom, dad and our siblings. We think of all the holidays and the Christmas family gatherings that makes it seem even better.
What we don't think about is school, how teachers made us feel, how other kids treated us, our first crush and the subsequent heartbreak that followed when we found out they had a crush on our best friend.
These are the little traumas that eventually become the blocks and traumas that follow us around for the rest of our life if we don't become aware of them and release them.
So when my clients tell me, "my childhood was great", I say ,"great, tell me about it". This is where we find those little moments that "haunt" us.
If not childhood, then often times it's early adulthood with things like going into the work environment, meeting "Mr. Right" or our "soul mate" and then the heartbreak that follows or the marriage that ends, having trouble finding a job and things like that. Somewhere along the line something happened that caused us to feel rejected, put down, belittled and that is stopping us from reaching our fullest potential or finding our next partner or building a business.

Well, more like past life, but it sure feels alien. What I’m talking about is the fact that sometimes our blocks and patterns come from a deeper place than this life and our childhood. I have had my own experiences with this. I am not going to share mine here as it’s very personal, but I can share a clients past life block to swimming in deep water and the ocean.
My client had a fear of deep water. She couldn’t swim with her family, and it stopped her from enjoying her time at the beach. After chatting with her about the fear and exploring where it came from, I had a strong sense that it was from a past life. I suggested that we explore it through a past life regression meditation and she was super keen on the idea, so we did.
During the past life regression meditation, she discovered that she had indeed drowned and that this was the cause of her anxiety around deep water. Once we sat with what happened, it brough a lightness and release of the fear for her. Today she has the freedom to join her family in the water when spending time at the beach.

Well, how do I do this myself?
If you aren’t trained in how to do this or you don’t have support it can be tricky. Getting a coach or healer to help you with this is the best way to go about finding what is stopping you from reaching your next goal, finding your lover, and so on.
Coaches and healers often have the ability to see things that you can’t see and they can follow the “breadcrumbs” you show them in the session.
This is something I love doing. I love seeing the faces of my clients when I pinpoint the very thing that has left them stuck for so long. I love seeing the “lightbulb” go on for my clients. Being able to see their energy and words light up as they talk to me, and then bring clarity through what I see, is why I do what I do.
Being able to do this week after week for my long-term coaching clients is even better…especially when they say they don’t have anything to talk about, and then they end up in tears saying, “I thought I had dealt with it” or “I didn’t know it was causing me this much trouble”.
